Record breaking sales of iPhone 5 according to Telstra

Within hours of the release of the iPhone 5 Telstra, the leading phone and broadband provider in Australia, sold out the mobile device. Pre-orders for the newest version following the 4S started last Friday at 5:30 pm and in less than a day - 18 hours to be exact - all units were sold. In just two working days, Telstra announced that the thousands of pre-registrants purchased the iPhone 5, with a spokesperson from SmartHouse commenting the “demand” for the latest Apple smartphone “exceeded expectations.”
